Product News – August 2025

Product Manager Eivind Lærum shares the latest updates in Omnium, including smarter cart management, stronger purchase order tools, expanded pricing and inventory options, and new API improvements – giving you more flexibility, control, and efficiency in every workflow.

Sharper APIs, Streamlined Workflows, and More Control in Every Step

August was all about flexibility, performance, and better tools for managing pricing, purchase orders, and cart logic. From smarter validations to deeper customization and new endpoints across the board, here’s what’s new in Omnium this month.

Smarter Cart Management & Pricing Tools

Working with carts and pricing is now more precise and flexible. New API endpoints make it easier to remove vouchers and manage shipments directly in carts. Carts also support line-by-line quantity editing, multiple shipments, and warehouse-specific pricing, giving teams more control in complex scenarios. A new cart validator ensures that prices are automatically recalculated whenever items change, improving accuracy across workflows. In addition, kit promotions are now supported, applying discounts automatically when all components in a set are added to the cart.

Purchase Order Power-Ups

Purchase order handling has been strengthened with several practical upgrades. Lines can now be searched and sorted directly in the UI, making it faster to locate specific items. A new read-only status prevents edits after export, while manual delivery status updates are now possible when needed. Custom templates can also be used for PO printouts and notifications, allowing greater flexibility in communication. To support more complete overviews, a new widget displays related customer and shipping details for reserved orders. And for returns, it’s now possible to create dummy returns even without an original order, using a default return order type.

Pricing, Price Lists & Inventory

Managing prices and stock has become more efficient. New API endpoints make it possible to search and scroll through large price lists, while asynchronous activation and deactivation improves UI responsiveness. Unit-based fallback pricing is now supported, ensuring that a default price is always available even when a specific unit price isn’t defined. Inventory synchronization is also faster thanks to a new incremental update endpoint. To provide a clearer overview, inventory views now display reservations and availability side by side, giving better support for stock decisions.

Workflow Automation & API Improvements

New automation and API features add more flexibility to integrations and workflows. Patch endpoints now support list-type custom properties, property removal conditions, and preservation of existing data. Webhook steps can include custom request headers, making it easier to connect with external systems. To improve visibility, new events are triggered whenever orders are reallocated after cancellation, ensuring that changes are captured in the workflow.

Enhanced UI, Notifications & Connectors

The user experience has been refined with improvements across the interface and connectors. Dropdown menus now support grouped rows for faster navigation, and custom views can be created directly in the product edit screen. Notifications for orders and purchase orders now log sending status and support additional merge tags, such as brand and shipment details. Several integrations have also been upgraded: Tripletex now handles shipment cost and discount rounding more accurately, Voyado has improved shipping method mapping, and Aera now supports invoice payment type.

Reporting & Role-Based Access

Reporting capabilities and access control have been extended to give teams more relevant insights. Custom reports can now be restricted by user role, ensuring that information is tailored to the right users. Inventory reports also include product attributes such as name, color, and size, making it easier to analyze stock with more context.
