Stepping Up Our Efforts in Sweden

Seeing great potential for Order Management Systems in Sweden, we’ve welcomed Kristian Hagset to lead Omnium’s expansion into the Swedish market.

We recognize a significant potential for Order Management Systems (OMS) in Sweden and are excited that Omnium now has an active presence in the neighbouring country. Having clients with active brands in Sweden already in our portfolio, such as Elcykelpunkten, Granngården, Lundhags, TOTEME, Varnergruppen and Hilding Anders, we’re confident in our ability to successfully deliver Omnium OMS in this market.

To lead this important expansion, we’ve brought on Kristian Hagset. With his experience and insight, Kristian is well positioned to drive growth and strengthen our presence in Sweden. We sat down with him to hear more about his vision, the opportunities he sees ahead, and what Swedish retailers can expect from Omnium.

What are your thoughts on the timing of Omnium's venture in Sweden?

“I believe the timing is excellent now. In 2023, customers were cautious about significant investments, focusing on efficiency and improvement, a trend expected to continue in 2024. Implementing an Order Management System would yield substantial efficiency gains and an enhanced customer experience."

"The investment level is far from intimidating, and the ROI calculation is compelling. Significant operational improvements can be achieved without changing the e-commerce platform or making major ERP interventions. Both the e-commerce platform and ERP can become more flexible with Omnium OMS.

Many companies also need to take the next step in realizing their omnichannel strategy. They set high goals for the overall customer experience, but unfortunately, execution is not uniformly strong. How do you plan to strengthen Omniums foothold in the Swedish market?

“We're strategically building networks to expand the market and establish trust in Omnium OMS. The interest from potential clients and partners is substantial, and we're actively responding to the growing demand. We're accelerating discussions with clients and deepening engagements with project delivery partners. Additionally, there's keen interest from successful Swedish tech firms, offering natural collaboration opportunities. Omnium OMS seamlessly integrates into environments with modern solutions for loyalty, customer experience, POS, return management, ensuring a future-proof architecture with cutting-edge technologies."

 

To what extent are Swedish companies prepared to adopt an Order Management System?

“A pure OMS is unfamiliar to many, yet the global market for Order Management Systems is expected to grow significantly. In the Nordics, we are just witnessing the beginning of this growth. Swedish companies are generally more mature in their digital development compared to businesses in other Nordic countries. Considering Omnium's successes in other countries, I see untapped potential in Sweden. There is also a substantial market within B2B, where rapid digitization is occurring in many companies.”
