Sunkost
Sunkost & Omnium
One platform for orders, stores and franchise operations across Norway's leading health retail chain
Sunkost is one of Norway's leading health and wellness retail chains, with around 120 stores across the country. The chain combines company-owned stores with independent franchisees, creating a retail structure that balances central coordination with local ownership.
As operations expanded across both physical retail and e-commerce, coordinating orders, inventory and purchasing across channels and store types became increasingly important.
Today, Omnium sits at the center of Sunkost's retail setup, bringing together e-commerce, stores, ERP and logistics under a single point of control.

The Challenge
Sunkost operates a franchise-based retail model where some stores are owned by the chain, while others are run by independent franchisees.
This creates additional complexity when managing products, pricing, purchasing and inventory across the network, where each part of the retail operation is supported by specialized systems.
The core challenge was making order handling work consistently across channels, while still supporting store-driven processes such as in-store orders and local purchasing, all within an existing and already mature system landscape.
Why Omnium
Sunkost needed a platform that could handle the full complexity of their retail setup without requiring them to replace the systems already in place. Omnium offered a way to unify operations across channels and store types within a single structure, supporting both centrally managed and independently operated stores.
The ability to organize stores into groups based on ownership made it possible to coordinate at scale while still accommodating the differences that come with a franchise model.

The Solution
Omnium provides the operational layer that connects e-commerce, stores, ERP and logistics across the Sunkost network. All orders are managed centrally, where fulfillment and returns follow consistent processes regardless of channel. Click and collect orders are distributed to stores for in-store pickup, while store sales and returns are handled within the same operational flow. The store grouping structure supports both company-owned and franchisee-operated stores without requiring separate workflows for each.
Beyond order management, Omnium handles distribution of products and pricing to sales channels, store purchasing from both central and local suppliers, and inventory across the network. Shipping, click and collect and returns all run through the same platform.
Gift cards are also managed in Omnium, covering sales, redemption and balance tracking across both e-commerce and physical stores. This brings key capabilities together in one place, reducing operational overhead across the retail network.

The Results
With Omnium in place, Sunkost has a unified view of orders across e-commerce and stores, within a structure built to support franchise operations.
Product data and pricing stay aligned across the network, and both central and store-driven processes run through the same platform. For a chain operating across ownership models and channels, that consolidation matters.
